Weather Now: Slight Chance Shower Today, Watching Hurricane Isaias

Thursday made it a 6 day heat wave! However, the heat wave probably ends today.

In the afternoon, skies will be partly sunny. There could be an isolated shower or t’storm in the area, but the skies should be drying out.

Friday won’t be as hot! Highs will be in the mid 80s across the area, with a few inland areas potentially getting close to around 90.

We will be closely monitoring Hurricane Isaias this weekend. Here is the forecast track from the National Hurricane Center:

While there is always concern when our area is in the “cone of uncertainty”, it’s too early to lock into one exact forecast track. We will be watching this closely and let you know if preparations become necessary in the coming days. Either way, highs seas and at least some rain/wind is likely by the Tuesday or Wednesday.
