Some of the coolest air of the season arrives next 24-30 hours. Dry skies for Friday, but windy and cool afternoon highs around 60. Chilly Friday night with low temperatures dropping to the upper 30s to lower 40s by dawn Saturday. Milder air returns by Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Most of the weekend looks dry with showers arriving near or just after sunset Sunday

Meanwhile powerful hurricane Fiona will pass well offshore but will send significant swells and powerful surf to our coast Friday. Dangerous rip currents are expected too

HIGH SURF ADVISORY NOW THROUGH FRIDAY

Hurricane Fiona is still expected to stay well offshore of the US East Coast, but swells from the distant storm will bring large, battering waves, and dangerous rip currents. Wave heights as high as 5-10 feet through Friday evening.
