Hurricane Preparedness: Know your risks


NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — On Monday, the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s acting director, Peter Gaynor, paid a visit to Quonset State Airport as part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association’s Hurricane Awareness Tour.

Gaynor, formerly of RIEMA and before that, PEMA, joined Meteorologists Tony Petrarca and T.J. Del Santo for a live Q&A during our online special. He discussed the transition into his new role, as well as pre-disaster readiness and the importance of knowing your risks and having a plan in place.
