Hurricane Florence remains a category 4 storm at this hour with top winds of 140 mph. Hurricane Watches have been converted to Hurricane Warnings from South Carolina northward to the Virginia border. Storm expected to make landfall late Thursday into Friday and then stall over the area. Direct impacts are not expected for southern New England, however increasing surf and rip currents are likely next several days and into the weekend
