Weather Now: Warm Dry Week Ahead

An extended stretch of dry and warmer this week. Temperatures by Thursday and especially Friday will approach the lower 80s inland, and 70s along the coast.

Meanwhile a brush “fire weather watch” is in effect for Tuesday. The combination of dry brush, low humidity levels, and gusty breezes would cause any brush fires that were to occur, to spread more rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended

* TIMING...Tuesday from 10 am through 7 pm

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...15 to 25 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...upper 60s to mid 70s.

* IMPACTS...Very dry conditions and gusty winds will result in
  potentially dangerouus brush fire weather conditions.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur.
