A dry start Friday morning with mostly sunny skies

FRIDAY FORECAST 12:00PM partly sunny skies, breezy warm, and humid. Temperatures well into the 80s

FRIDAY FORECAST 4:00PM Partly sunny with scattered thunderstorms approaching northeast Connecticut and northern Rhode Island

FRIDAY FORECAST 7:00PM Thunderstorm risk increasing, especially inland areas. Some storms may be strong to severe with damaging wind, frequent lightning and heavy downpours

While Friday morning looks dry, an approaching cold front by “late” afternoon and evening will produce showers and thunderstorms (some strong to severe). The risk is higher in western New England, with storms that could bring damaging wind gusts, hail, and heavy downpours.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on these storms as they push into southeastern New England at the end of the day (after 4PM)
