We’re officially in the midst of our first official “Heat Wave” of 2019. High temperatures have climbed above 90° for a third straight day at TF Green Airport. At 3pm Tuesday afternoon the high temperature in Providence reached 93 degrees.
It looks like the hot and humid weather will extend into Wednesday with high temperatures reaching 90° along with high humidity levels. Watch for scattered showers and locally strong thunderstorms by late Wednesday afternoon and early evening

The Severe Storms Prediction Center has our area in a “marginal” risk for severe thunderstorms late Wednesday afternoon

As of now, a new “Heat Advisory” is in effect for parts of eastern Massachusetts. This advisory “may” get expanded to other inland areas for Wednesday. Stay tuned for updates

A cold front will approach late Wednesday into Wednesday night, bringing a few showers and thunderstorms. Ahead of it, we’ll see another hot and humid day before some slightly more comfortable conditions return for Thursday and Friday.
