The autumnal equinox is still one week away, but we felt more fall-like today. Highs eventually climbed into the upper 60s to low 70s, which is a bit below normal for mid-September. Still, it was a beautiful day, with abundant sun and ultra-low humidity.

Hour by Hour // A look at upcoming hourly conditions

You’ll really notice the autumn-like air this evening and tonight as temperatures tumble under clear skies, dry air and lighter winds. Late night lows will be some of the coolest of the season so far, in the mid to upper 40s.

Another beautiful day is lined up for tomorrow, with sunshine and low humidity. After a very cool start at dawn, afternoon temperatures will be seasonable, in the mid-70s with light winds. Don’t forget a sweatshirt for Friday night football games.

If you were planning on heading towards the beach tomorrow it’ll be sunny but cool. Breezy northwest winds on the bay will stick around 5-10knots. High tide is just before 1pm.

Overall we’re looking at a quiet stretch of weather across our region through the end of this week and into the start of next week, however, down in the Tropics, we are tracking the sixth named system of the year.

As of this afternoon, Tropical Storm Fiona is tracking west at 12 knots and is still sitting east of the Leeward Islands.

By tomorrow morning Fiona is expected to move over the Leeward Islands and continue to head towards Puerto Rico during the weekend.

The exact track of this system is still not determined, with the potential for Fiona to head into the Gulf of Mexico, turn north and head toward the southeastern US or make a sharp turn northward towards Bermuda.

We will continue to track this system and keep you up to date.
