Our next system arrives Thursday into early Friday morning. While light precipitation (rain showers/drizzle/flurries) is expected during the daylight hours of Thursday, the heavier rain and stronger wind gusts will occur later Thursday night into very early Friday morning

Temperatures continue to rise through the 40s to near 50 Thursday night as the rain turns widespread and heavier. Even northern New England will see wet snow change to rain by Friday morning. In addition, southeast winds will increase, with the chance for some gusts over 40mph after midnight.

Most, if not all, of the rain tapers off by 10AM Friday morning with drier conditions Friday afternoon and evening.

The bulk of the heavier rain is from 8pm Thursday night to 9am Friday Morning. Overall final amounts will range from 1.0 to 1.5 inches by Friday morning

The strongest wind gusts are expected from “late” Thursday night (after midnight) into early Friday morning. Gusts are generally 40-45mph, with isolated gusts to 50mph during the pre-dawn hours of Friday
