BRISTOL, Conn. (WPRI) — Cumberland’s run for a Little League World Series appearance came up short Sunday night.
The game against New Jersey got underway just after 8 p.m. following a lightning delay.
Ryan Amaral had a two-run home run in the first inning, but that was all the offense they could get against a tough Toms River pitching staff.
Cumberland ended up losing 3-2.
