Hometown Hero: Moses Brown’s Meredith Langmuir

PROVIDENCE, RI (WPRI) — This week’s Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses Hometown Sports Hero is Meredith Langmuir.

The Moses Brown senior earned First Team All-State Lacrosse honors as a sophomore and junior helping the Quakers win the Division I title in both seasons, running their consecutive title streak to four.

“From her freshman year she’s been a key, impact player, starter for us, and really helped continue the foundation we’ve been trying to build being competitive outside of Rhode Island and within,” said Quaker Head Lacrosse Coach Brian Williams. “Has really helped a core member of the team that has helped this group become what we are today.”

Langmuir was also a two-time First Team All-Stater in Field Hockey, but Lacrosse is what she’ll pursue in college, committing to play at Harvard.

“It’s an honor and I’m super privileged and super excited, our new coach Devon Wills, is going to be great, I’ve heard great things, and I’m super excited about the team,” Langmuir said. “Not only that but to take my play to the next level, I think it will be good for me and good to experience and I’m excited about it.”
