Hometown Hero: Nathan Lussier

High School

This week’s Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses Hometown Sports Hero is LaSalle’s Nathan Lussier.

The sophomore quarterback scored three touchdowns and the decisive two-point conversion to lead the Rams to their first state title since 2008 and earned Lussier MVP honors.

The win also broke Hendricken’s run of seven consecutive titles, the longest streak in RIIL history.

Originally a backup to Andrew Wright, Nathan stepped in after the senior was lost for the season to injury and combined for 30 passing and rushing touchdowns with over 2500 yards of total offense. If you have a Hometown Sports Hero you’d like to nominate, email sports@wpri.com.
