(WPRI) — Xavier Hazard and Trey Rezendes combined for 43 points to lead East Providence to a 71-66 win over Smithfield in an Elite Elite matchup on Sunday afternoon at Rhode Island College. Smithfield had four players in double figures, led by Shaun Dwyer who had 16 points.
The Townies will play defending state champion Bishop Hendricken in the Final Four on March 11 at 6 p.m. at the Ryan Center on URI’s campus. The winner heads to the championship game the following night at 6 p.m.
