East Greenwich’s Maddie Omicioli wins girls tennis title; Barrington duo of Jay, Pareek take doubles crown

PAWTUCKET, RI (WPRI) – East Greenwich sophomore Maddie Omicioli won the girls tennis state championship Sunday beating defending champion, Moses Brown’s Candice Ballarin in three sets, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

On the doubles side, the Barrington duo of Lauren Jay and Sonya Pareek knocked off La Salle’s Blaisdel Frampton and Anya Chowdry in three sets, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1.
