The Rhode Island Blues Festival, taking place Saturday, August 18 and Sunday August 19 at Mulligan’s Island, 1000 New London Ave, Cranston is preparing for its inaugural year of internationally recognized and regionally beloved blues acts.

The first day of the fest will feature blues superstar Marcia Ball.

Each day features four performances, with local acts leading up the national performers.

Leading up to Ball’s performance, Saturday opens at noon with Neal & the Vipers, an award-winning RI band known for blues, American roots music, rock & roll, rockabilly and surf, always with a very danceable vibe and tempo.

Both days include vendors with a variety of blues-related gifts, products, clothes and music.

There will be beer from Revival brewery and a variety of food offerings – from vegan to classic BBQ, including ribs from Wes’ Rib House.

Mini golf, batting cages and other entertainment will also be available to festival attendees.
