Eye on RI: take time to enjoy the season!

Parents' Night Off PVD- Mayor Jorge Elorza today joined Providence Recreation Director Michael Stephens to announce ‘Parents’ Night Off PVD,’ a partnership to spread holiday cheer for the New Year by offering parents a night to prepare for the holidays with extended hours at all recreation centers on Friday, December 21. Centers will be open from 3:00pm until 10:00pm as a safe and secure place for children to have fun while their parents are away.Centers will offer snacks and fun programming to children ages 5-15, including sports activities, arts and crafts, board games and movies at some of the larger recreation centers, all at no cost to families! No registration is required, but parents are advised to contact their nearest recreation center to get details on programming offered.

Wickenden Wonderland- Join The Duck & Bunny for our Wickenden Wonderland Gift Show & Fundraiser Holiday Extravaganza! The event will feature: garden wonderland all lit up for the holidays, live holiday music, photos with Santa, your favorite D&B sweets, treats, hot drinks & cocktails, local artists gallery, and crafts & snuggerabelia for sale. All Wickenden Street shops will be open late for last minute shopping.

Present Wrapping by the Midtown Elves- Dec 17th-24th from Noon to 5:00pm bring your presents to Midtown and have the Midtown Elves wrap them for free while you dine!

NYE One Providence Skyline- Entertainment for the whole family on New Year's Eve from fireworks to a black tie event.
