Each year Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees help local students through their scholarship program. Dunkin’ franchise owner, Lindsay Martins, and scholarship recipient, Hailey Placido, talk about the importance of the of the scholarship program (currently in its 23rd year).
Hailey is one of our 6 Dunkin’ Donuts Scholarship recipients this year. She earned a $10,000 college scholarship.
•In addition to winning one of the scholarships, Hailey also happens to be a Dunkin’ Donuts employee!
•She works at a Dunkin’ Donuts in East Providence owned by Lindsay Martins.
•Hailey is entering her freshman year at Springfield College, where is planning to study Health Sciences.
Background on scholarships
•This is 23rd consecutive year Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees across Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts have contributed to the Scholarship Program
•This market was the first in the country to launch a program like this – we’re very proud of the success we’ve had.
•Over the last two decades, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisees in just this market have contributed more than $2 million in scholarships to local high school students
•This year, we awarded $10,000 scholarships to six qualified, well-deserving students.
•Totaling in $60,000 in scholarships.
