Weather forecasts are calling for a severe storm to hit and power outages are expected… how far in advance does National Grid start to prepare, what’s involved, and what do they do to create a restoration plan once the storm passes? What should the public do to protect themselves if they’ve lost power?

We spoke with Dan Bunszell, Vice President of Maintenance & Construction at New England National Grid, and Gary Lataille, Lead Program Manager at National Grid for the answers to these questions.
