Today we welcomed Dr. Rena Jacobsen, the owner of Ascent Audiology, to talk about hearing loss and hearing aids. She focused on how to determine if a family member has a hearing loss and the importance of getting a hearing test from a licensed audiologist (regardless of where the hearing device is purchased). Dr. Jacobsen mentioned that wearing a hearing aid for the first time takes some getting used to and her office can help patients with that transition.
