Workers from closed Warren restaurant invited to job fair

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Some recently laid-off workers have a chance to look for a new job as Skyline at Waterplace hosts a job fair Wednesday afternoon.

On Monday, the Country Inn in Warren abruptly shut down, leaving employees with unanswered questions. The job fair was already planned, but Skyline at Waterplace invited those employees who lost their jobs to attend.

In a Facebook post, the business recognized with only weeks before Thanksgiving, losing a job isn’t the news you want to hear. The post went on to say, “When one door closes, another door opens, and our door at Skyline is now open.”

The Country Inn had about 90 full-time and part-time workers. The restaurant says 15 positions are available, including front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house positions, including chefs, bartenders, servers, dishwashers and hosts.

If you’re looking to apply, you’ll be interviewed on site and need to bring a copy of your resume.

The job fair is Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
