PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – A winter weather advisory starts at 7PM for northwestern Rhode Island

Snow starts after around 6 or 7PM for our entire area.  By 10 or 11PM, some light to moderate bands of snow are possible.  Some of the roads (especially side roads) could become slick or snow covered.

After midnight, snow changes to rain, first at the south coast. Areas north and west likely will stay with snow or a wintry mix.

Most of Rhode Island should expect a coating to an inch, with 1-3 inches possible in the northwestern parts of the state.
