West Warwick man charged with internet crimes against children

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Island State Police arrested a West Warwick man Monday for indecent online activity involving a minor.

Jacob Shippee, 25, is charged with indecent solicitation of a minor and electronic dissemination of indecent material to a minor.

The arrest followed an investigation by the State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Each count carries a potential penalty of up to five years in prison.
