We’re in our third straight day of gloomy weather. In fact, today will be even colder than yesterday. Plan on gray skies all day, but the mist and drizzle from this morning will tend to dry up. While an isolated shower is possible in the afternoon, most of the time it will be dry. With the clouds and chilly winds, high temperatures will struggle to hit 50. That’s nearly 20F below normal.
We’ll actually be close to record breaking cold this afternoon. The coldest high temperature on record at TF Green Airport for May 14 is 47° (1948).
A passing shower is possible tonight, with cloudy and cool conditions. We take a step in the right direction on Wednesday. Skies dry out, there will be peeks of sun and the temperatures will come close to 60. The warming trend continues on Thursday, with a scattered shower and highs in the mid 60s.
THURSDAY: Partly sunny with highs in the mid 60s. A passing shower, but not a “washout”
FRIDAY: Partly sunny with a few showers…mid 60s.
