Good morning from chief meteorologist Tony Petrarca:
After some passing snow showers yesterday, drier air has moved backed in. It will turn much colder Today and through the Weekend.
Latest Satellite Photo: Moisture coming in off the Pacific Ocean will help to fuel a developing storm over the Plains. The track of this system will stay far enough south to spare our area a snowstorm (sorry snow lovers)
FORECAST 7 AM FRIDAY: Much colder air settles in by dawn Friday with temperatures starting in the upper teens.
FRIDAY MORNING: Lots of sunshine, dry. Winds will start to pick up again by mid-late morning
FORECAST 2 PM FRIDAY: Sunny skies , but highs only mid-upper 20s. Winds will still be blustery from the northwest 15-25 mph
HOUR BY HOUR FRIDAY AFTERNOON
FORECAST 6 PM FRIDAY: Heading out Friday evening and night, bundle up. Clear skies and very cold.
7 DAY OUTLOOK: No major storms on the horizon. Much colder weather Friday through Monday. An Arctic cold front moves through by mid week with a snow shower, followed by another surge of colder air by next Thursday
PATRIOTS GAME SUNDAY: Game still looks dry but cold. Some extra clouds
