Warwick police seek Target shoplifting suspects

News

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are hoping the public can help them track down a pair of shoplifting suspects.

On the department Facebook page, police posted a picture of the suspects – a man and a woman.

Police said they’re wanted for attempting to shoplift merchandise worth more than $400 from the Target store at Warwick Mall.

Police said the two suspects passed the checkout area. When they were stopped by loss prevention, they ran from the area leaving behind the merchandise police said they were trying to steal.

Police told Eyewitness News if the two are arrested they will face shoplifting charges which, due to the value of the merchandise and depending on any previous convictions, could be felony charges.

Anyone with information on the identity of the male and female suspects is asked to contact Det. Arico at (401) 468-4267
