Warwick PD: theft caught on surveillance video

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Police in Warwick are searching for a suspect involved in allegedly stealing over $7,500 worth of steel sheets.

The Warwick PD Facebook page states a man loaded 30 sheets of steel into his truck from a studio at 320 Elm Street and drove away around 5:30 a.m Saturday morning.

Surveillance video shows the theft in action, and even getting out of his truck once before driving away to check that the hundreds of pounds of steel were secure.
