BRISTOL, Conn. (WPRI) – Warwick North is headed to the Little League World Series.
Warwick North beat Fairfield American 5-1 Saturday afternoon, winning the Northeast Regional tournament, and will now head for Williamsport for the World Series, which starts Thursday.
Starting pitcher Colin Lemieux threw five dominant innings for Warwick North, striking out six batters and allowing just the one run. He also drove in three runs.
Warwick North will play New York at 3 p.m. Thursday in the opening round. It’s a double elimination tournament.
