PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – A Warwick man has been indicted for allegedly producing, receiving and possessing child pornography.

According to U.S. Attorney Peter Neronha’s office, Jordan Monroe, 50, of Warwick, was arrested after Homeland Security agents allegedly found tens of thousands of file folders containing child pornography on computers at his residence.

As part of an ongoing national investigation, officials identified internet billboards used for posting, sharing and viewing child pornography. It is alleged that numerous IP addresses in the United States were identified during the investigation and officials say one belongs to a person who resides at Monroe’s house.

Six computers were seized from Monroe’s home, some of which allegedly contained images and videos officials say Monroe produced. Members of the RI State Police Internet Crimes Against Children task force and Warwick police assisted Homeland Security agents during the seizure.

Monroe is charged with one count of coercing and using a minor to produce child pornography, two counts of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.

Monroe has been in federal custody since his arrest last week.
