PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) – With temperatures beginning to drop, there’s an annual campaign to keep those in need warm this holiday season.
An event in Providence Wednesday morning kicked off the 2016-2017 “Warm Thy Neighbor” campaign.
For 31 years, the Good Neighbor Energy Fund has been providing energy assistance to Rhode Island families in temporary financial crisis and don’t qualify for for state or federal heating assistance.
It’s a non-profit effort by Rhode Island energy companies and run by the United Way.
