Utility worker falls from bucket truck in Norton

News

NORTON, Mass. (WPRI) — A utility worker was taken to Rhode Island Hospital after police said he fell out of a bucket truck onto live wires Tuesday.

According to the Norton Police Department, first responders were called to West Hodges Street after a National Grid employee working on a utility pole struck wires while falling 35 feet to the ground.

The employee’s condition and identification are unknown at this time.

The incident is under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
