OZAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (WPRI) — Deputies in Ozaukee County are asking whoever vandalized the Ozaukee Interurban Trail bridge to “stay in school.”

This is because of a blatant spelling error in the graffiti that was spray painted onto the bridge.

The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office posted to its Facebook page, showing photos of the vandalism. In the photos, the words “Hitler Brigde” are spray painted onto the pavement, though it is supposed to read “Hitler Bridge.”

The bridge crosses the interstate into the town of Grafton. Police said this is the second time the bridge has been vandalized within the past year.

At the end of the Facebook post are the hashtags “#SpellingLessons” and “#StayInSchool.”

Police believe the vandalism occurred over the weekend of June 1-2.
