WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have released new information on Saturday’s car crash that injured four children and their mothers.

According to police, the driver of the first vehicle crossed over the center lane on Wakefield St. around 5 p.m., collided with the second car that was traveling eastbound and then went on to hit a tree.

Police Monday revealed the West Warwick resident broke her wrist and and hip. Her 6-year-old and 9-year-old children suffered head trauma and her 3-year-old was bruised, police said.

The driver of the second car, who is from Coventry, broke her arm. Her 10-year-old suffered some bruising and complained of other pain.

They were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

So far, no one has been charged. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
