Uncle Tony’s Pizza is robbed at new East Providence location

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are looking for the thieves who broke into Uncle Tony’s Pizza and Pasta at its new location in East Providence.

The restaurant says the robbery happened either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

Someone reportedly broke in and stole a table saw and an air compressor that belonged to the restaurant’s contractors.

Uncle Tony’s on Newport Avenue is still under construction and is expected to open in Spring of 2016.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call East Providence Police at 401-435-7600.
