Tractor trailer bursts into flames on I-95

WEST GREENWICH, R.I. (WPRI) — No one was hurt Friday morning after a tractor trailer burst into flames on the highway.

The fire started at about 3 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-95 in West Greenwich.

Police shut down part of the highway as firefighters worked to douse the flames. The scene has since been cleared and the highway is back open.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
