Thief steals cash register from North Kingstown café

News

NORTH KINGSTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — North Kingstown police are hoping video surveillance will help them nab a thief who stole a cash register from a local business.

Police said they responded to a breaking-and-entering call at Jitters Café on Tower Hill Road earlier this month. Once on scene, officers determined someone removed a screen window, entered the store, and stole the cash register.

Surveillance video shows a man removing the register and handing it through the window to a second person outside.

Police said the suspect is a white man with a medium to heavy build, wearing jeans, work boots, and a tan colored button-down shirt. He has a crew cut or shaved head, black-rimmed glasses, and has a tattoo on his right arm.

Anyone with information is asked to call North Kingstown Detective Division at 401-294-3316 Ext. 8211.
