Woonsocket, R.I. (WPRI) – Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in a string of armed robberies.

Officers said the male suspect committed two armed robberies in Woonsocket. The first case happened last Sunday, March 8th around 7am.

According to detectives, a white suspect entered the Gulf Express Gas Station on Park Avenue.  He then implies he had a weapon and demanded money from the clerk.

He is described as tall with a husky build and appears to be wearing blue jacket with tape or a sticker covering a breast emblem.

On the following Saturday around 5am, the same suspect entered the Dunkin’ Donuts, again on Park Avenue in Woonsocket. He demanded money and implied he had a firearm.

This suspect is also believed to be responsible for an attempted robbery of a Shell gas station in Woonsocket on February 20th along with the CT Gas in North Smithfield.
