NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — New Bedford police are looking for a man who they say used a stolen identity to buy a pricey watch, finance a motorcycle, and make tens of thousands of dollars worth of other purchases.

Police said the suspect’s shopping spree happened on May 5. According to police, the suspect spent more than $25,000 at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets and the Kohl’s in Seekonk under the victim’s name. He also allegedly used the stolen identity to buy a $10,000 Rolex watch at Kay Jewelers in the Providence Place mall, and to obtain a loan to buy a motorcycle.

Police said the suspect was accompanied by a dark-skinned male and female.
