NEWPORT, R.I. (WPRI) — The Annual Water Brothers Surf Fest kicked off Saturday at Fort Adams in Newport.

Two skateboard attractions were open, including a 30-foot skateboard ramp and a 13-foot full pipe.
Water Brothers is a surf and skate company in Newport, established in 1971 by Sid Abbuzzi.
The event featured local surf and skate vendors, as well as local food vendors.

Fort Adams recently hosted the only U.S. stop in the world Volvo Ocean Race 2015 sailing race.
