SOMERSET, Mass (WPRI) – An armed robbery suspect made off with a small amount of cash before being arrested.

Police say the suspect, Thomas Mogilnicki of Somerset, entered the 7-Eleven on Route 6 around 3:10AM Thursday. After grabbing a gallon of milk, the suspect walked up to the counter and allegedly lifted his shirt and pulled out a knife, demanding money from the clerk.

The clerk told Somerset Police, Mogilnicki then apologized and said he needed the money. Police say he fled the store with a small amount of cash.

A short time later, police were able to track down Mogilnicki at his Read Street home, where he was arrested.
