Some Warwick schools closed due to water main break

News

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) – A water main break in Warwick will keep some city schools closed Thursday.

The superintendent’s office sent out a robo-call around 5 a.m. informing parents that Winman Junior High, Toll Gate High School, Drum Rock Early Childhood Center and the Career & Technical Center are all affected by the break.

According to the Kent County Water Authority, the water main break only affects the four schools.

They say they turned a leak off Wednesday night at 11:28 p.m. and now it’s the school’s responsibility to fix it.
