Solomon reflects on response to first snowstorm as mayor

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Warwick Mayor Joseph Solomon said he feels proud after handling his first big snowstorm as the city’s leader.

“It’s great to see the city in good shape after my first storm,” Solomon said Monday.

Solomon said while he’s new to the position, the process of preparation is not new to him.

“I’ve been used to this relative to my personal businesses my entire lifetime, so it’s basically similar issues only on a bigger larger scale,” he added.

Solomon said the city’s DPW crews, plows, and residents did a great job cleaning up after the storm.

In the above video, Solomon explains how he prepared for his first big snowfall as mayor.
