TAUNTON, Mass. (WPRI) — It was business as usual at Colonial Do-Nut Shop on Broadway in Taunton on Saturday morning.
Regular customers still showed up for their daily coffee and donut, despite the snow.
Jennifer Fountain was planning to make the morning ritual trip no matter what but had to rethink her attire before leaving the house.
“When I woke up there was nothing, which I was happy about, but then it came down and I called my best friend and said ‘Let’s go to Colonial,’ nothing gets in between that,” Fountain said.
With less than three weeks until the official start of spring, the region has yet to experience a real winter, but it showed up late with a double dose for Southern New England this weekend.
“I was hoping, ready for my flip flops,” Fountain added.
“I like snow, personally. I enjoy it. I didn’t think we were gonna get any this year, so I was kinda happy we did,” Brittany Dasilva said.
Saturday’s storm couldn’t stop Brittany Dasilva and her kids from going about their day.
“We’re just gonna take the kids out sledding and go home and make something good to eat,” Dasilva said.
