Shoplifting suspect sought by Pawtucket police

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police in Pawtucket are searching for a man accused of shoplifting from a local grocery store.

According to police, the suspect entered the Stop & Shop located at 368 Cottage Street on Friday. He loaded a shopping basket with merchandise and then left the store without paying, according to police.

Police said the man dropped the goods and ran from the store when he was confronted. The stolen goods were worth more than $200, according to police.
