JAMESTOWN, R.I. (WPRI) — The remaining toll gantry scaffolding equipment on the Sakonnet River Bridge has been taken down.
The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority removed cameras, laser vehicle identification technology and other technical components Sunday night.
All of the electric tolling equipment from the gantry was removed in 2014. That equipment is currently being reused on the Newport Pell Bridge.
