WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Rocky Point Park will soon be opening to movie fans.
The Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce announced it will be holding “Movies in the Park” beginning June 18. The first film to be shown will be “Lego Movie.”
Movies will be shown in July and August, as well.
Admission is free. All movies are expected to begin at sunset. Residents are encouraged to bring a chair or a blanket to enjoy the movie under the stars.
“People will park in the park, so we won’t disturb the neighbors by parking on the street. There will obviously be police and DEM officers there to be able to help the crowds navigate, food trucks are exciting, all different types of foods, activities for the kids,” said Lauren Slocum, President of the Central RI Chamber of Commerce.More details will be posted at this link:http://www.centralrichamber.com/3160/events/movies-in-the-park/
