FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Police were able to arrest a robbery suspect in Fall River after they say the victim chased her and then pinned her down on the ground until officers arrived.

Police were called to the Sunset Hill Variety on Bowen Street Monday for a report of an armed robbery.

While officers were en-route to the scene, police said they were told the store owner had chased the suspect, later identified as 35-year-old Tara Ketzler, and had her pinned on the ground in the middle of the Sunset Hill Housing Complex.

When police arrived, they found the victim holding Ketzler down. As officers handcuffed her, police said a wrench fell out of her pocket.

The 33-year-old victim told police that Ketzler had entered the store, told him she had a gun and demanded money, all while holding her hand in her pocket. The victim said she then walked behind the counter, took cash from the register and left the store.

Ketzler is facing one charge of armed robbery.
