PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) has identified a man accused of abusing a dog on camera.

The RISPCA obtained a video the shows the man picking the dog up by the back of its neck and holding it near his face for several seconds before throwing it onto what appears to be a bed or a couch.

The dog is now in the custody of the RISPCA. The agency said the suspect’s name will not be released until an arrest has been made.

The RISPCA has offered a $500 reward for information involving the alleged abuse.
