SOMERSET, Mass. (WPRI) — Crews were called to an early morning fire in Somerset. It started around 5 a.m. on Calvin Street.

Residents who lived in two of the homes on the street were evacuated as firefighters worked to put out the flames. Right now, the fire is out, but crews continue to put out hot spots.

Most of the damage happened in the garage. Both cars inside were destroyed in the fire. The garage is also not salvageable.

The house next door was also damaged in the blaze.

There’s no word on a cause right now. The fire is currently under investigation.
