PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Providence police are searching for a suspect after a vehicle struck two people Saturday night.
It happened around 10 p.m. at Empire and Washington Streets in Providence.
Providence police say a 10-year-old boy and an adult family member were crossing Empire Street when they were struck by a car.
That vehicle then fled the scene.
The boy was brought to Hasboro Hospital with minor injuries and is expected to be ok.
The vehicle was later found on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Police are searching for a suspect but would not confirm if they had any leads yet.We will update this story as soon as more information becomes available.
