(WPRI) — Significant amounts of snow are expected for our area tonight and Monday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for most our area for Sunday evening through Monday morning.
The snow will start after dark this evening and end late Monday morning. The commute Monday morning will likely be heavily impacted.
Several communities have already put parking bans in effect and Providence Public Schools have canceled class for Monday.

Power outages are possible for parts of area due the heavy, wet nature of the snow – mainly southeast Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts.
Eyewitness News Meteorologist T.J. Del Santo said the forecast is coming into focus, but slight changes are still possible. We encourage you to stay tuned to further forecasts throughout the day.
